
Terms and Conditions
Please read the terms and conditions below (“T&Cs”) before placing an order with Galactamama. In the T&Cs, "Galactamama", “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Galactamama ABN 76 520 646 032, and "you" refers to you, the customer and website user. Your access to and use of all information on this website (“Website”) including any purchase made on the Website, are subject to the T&Cs.
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the T&Cs at any time. By continuing to use the Website, including by placing orders, following any amendment(s), you agree to be bound to the amended T&Cs. We therefore recommend that you review the T&Cs each time you access the Website.
1. Ordering, collection and delivery
1.1 Payment, ordering and baking process

Payments can be made via PayPal or manually through bank transfer. If making a bank transfer, we recommend making the payment, then continuing with the online payment process to avoid any delays to your order.

Once you place an order on the Website, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 – 48 hours that your order has been accepted and processed ("Processing Time").

If you have made a manual payment and your payment has not been received within the Processing Time, we will allow a further 48 hours for receipt, to allow for any banking issues.

Please ensure all contact details, personal information, and delivery details (if provided) have been properly documented in the confirmation email. If there are errors, please notify us by return email within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation email.

Allow 2-3 business days for your order to be baked, packaged and posted or made ready for collection ("Baking Time").
1.2 Prices
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are exclusive of GST.
1.3 Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by Galactamama. Your order has NOT been accepted until you receive email confirmation of acceptance. We reserve the right to reject any order within the Processing Time, i.e. 24 - 48 hours of the order being placed, due to demands on capacity or any other reason. If your order is cancelled within the Processing Time, you will be notified and receive a full refund.
1.4 Delivery options
During the online ordering process, you will be given the option of in-person pick up from our North-west Sydney location or having your order shipped. If you have selected:

In-person pick-up - after the Baking Time, you will be contacted by SMS to confirm your order is ready to collect. You will also be provided with details of the pick-up location. You will then need to contact us (by phone or email) to arrange a collection time.

Shipping - shipping across Australia (including locally within Sydney metro) of products is charged at a flat fee based on Australia Post's rates (see here). You must select the correct shipping option when placing your order online to account for the total number of packs ordered, otherwise your order will not be accepted. For example, if you have ordered 2 boxes, please select the Standard or Express shipping rates for 2 boxes at checkout. Orders over the value of $100 are shipped at Standard rates free of charge (this is automatically applied at checkout). If you prefer Express shipping, please select this option when placing your order based on the number of boxes ordered.
1.5 Shipping – estimated delivery time
We ship our orders through Australia Post, which reports the following delivery speeds within Australia:

Standard shipping: 2-4 business days.

Express shipping: 1-2 business days.
Please note that delivery times are estimates. There may be delays with Australia Post, especially during peak seasons or holidays. Please refer to the Australia Post website to take any delivery delays or disruptions into account (see here).
We do not offer international shopping at this time.
1.6 Tracking
When we have shipped your order, we will send you a confirmation email with tracking information.
1.7 Delivery issues
If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery time or has been lost in transit, please contact us at admin@galactamama.com.au and provide your order number. We will contact you within 48 hours and work with you to try to resolve the issue. Please note however, that all risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you when we ship the products.

1.8 Cancellations and refunds
Galactamama will not cancel or refund any payment for orders after the maximum Processing Time has expired or you have received a confirmation email regarding acceptance, whichever occurs earlier. This paragraph does not exclude any refund entitlements under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) ("Australian Consumer Law").

2. Our bakery and products
2.1 Home-based business
Galactamama is a home business that has been registered and inspected by local council requirements under the Australian and New Zealand Food Standards Code, and is insured.
2.1 Products
We stand by the quality of our products. If the products do not meet your expectations or there is an issue with them, please contact us at admin@galactamama.com.au, and we will do our best to address your concerns.
2.2 Warning – Allergens, gluten, nuts and dairy
Please note that our cookies may contain, or come into contact with, soy, wheat, dairy, nuts or other allergens. We cannot guarantee that our cookies will not contain allergens, gluten, nuts and dairy and therefore do not offer any nut/allergen/gluten or dairy-free options. This is because the kitchen used for our home-based business is also where family meals are prepared. By placing an order on the Website, you assume full responsibility for carefully considering the ingredients and allergens in the products and determining their suitability for consumption.
2.3 Storage

As all our cookies contain brewer’s yeast, which can spoil over time, we recommend storing our cookies at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days to maintain freshness. For longer storage, you can refrigerate the cookies for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.

You can freeze the cookies for up to 3 months, provided they are sealed in a freezer bag or airtight container. If defrosting the cookies, we recommend leaving them to thaw at room temperature for 2-3 hours, then warming them in the microwave for 30 seconds.
By placing an order on the Website, you assume full responsibility for following the storage recommendations for the products and determining their suitability for consumption.

3. Website use

You are permitted to download a copy of the information on this Website to your computer for personal use only.

Except as permitted under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), you are not permitted to copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or display any of the information on this Website without our prior written permission.

The licence to access and use the information on our Website does not include the right to use any data mining robots or other extraction tools. The licence also does not permit you to metatag or mirror our Website without our prior written permission.
3.2 Hyperlinks
This Website may from time to time contain hyperlinks to other websites. Such links are provided for convenience only and we take no responsibility for the content, maintenance of, or privacy compliance by, any linked website. Any hyperlink on our Website to another website does not imply our endorsement, support, or sponsorship of the operator of, or of the information and/or products provided on, that website.
3.3 Intellectual property rights

The copyright to all content on this Website including graphics, images, layouts and text, belongs to us or we have a licence to reproduce, copy, publish, communicate, adapt or deal with those materials in any way.

All trade marks, brands and logos, whether or not they have been identified with the symbols TM or ®, are either owned by us or we have a licence to use them. Your access to our website does not license you to use those marks without our prior written permission.

4. General
4.1 Privacy
Galactamama will not disclose any personal information such as your name, address, email or telephone number to any person outside of the business, unless you have authorised us to do so or unless it is to our external legal or accounting advisors, or we are required to do so by law. We take due care with the information you have provided; however, in providing us with such information, you accept that we are not liable for its misuse due to error in transmission, viruses or malware.
4.2 Force majeure
In the event of any delay or damage resulting from acts of God, a natural disaster, accident, pandemic, government action including war, riot, seizure and embargo, or any act, circumstance or omission over which we have no reasonable control, causing delay continues for more than thirty (30) days, we may terminate this agreement by giving at least fourteen (14) days’ notice to you. Subject to our obligations under the law, it is within our full discretion to consider whether a refund will be issued.
4.3 Limitation of liability
To the full extent permitted by law and subject to the Australian Consumer Law, our total liability is limited to amounts paid to Galactamama for its goods and services. Galactamama will not be liable for any loss, including consequential loss, whether foreseen or unforeseen, regardless of whether liability is based on breach of contract, breach of express or implied warranty, negligence, strict liability, tort, or otherwise.
4.4 Disputes
All disputes and grievances concerning our products or services must be submitted in writing via email within 7 days of receiving the products. If a dispute arises, both you and Galactamama agree to negotiate and resolve any dispute or claim in good faith within thirty (30) days.
4.5 Applicable law
These T&Cs and any transactions occurring through the Website are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
4.6 Jurisdiction
Any claim arising out of these T&Cs will be heard in New South Wales, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of its Courts.
4.7 Severance
If any provision in these T&Cs is found to be invalid under the law, the provision will be limited, narrowed, construed or altered as necessary to render it valid but only to the extent necessary to achieve such validity. If necessary, the invalid provision will be deleted from these T&Cs and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
